Champions Tour: Shaw Charity Classic full field listed here
With mainly warm sunny weather in the forecast, the Shaw Charity Classic is set to go for the 9th year at the Canyon Meadows G&CC this week August 13-15.
The tournament which has raised $61m for youth groups in Alberta, won the prestigious President's Award for th best event on the Champions Tour in 2014,15 /17 has an all-star cast as usual, but will get a great boost with the addition of Mike Weir for the 1st time, leading the Canadians including former resident Stephen Ames, David Morland and newly minted PGA Senior Champion of Canada, Dennis Hendershott.
Wes Short Jr is the defending champion, and the field is as strong as ever with Bernhard Langer, Retief Goosen, Colin Montgomerie, etal in attendance for the limited crowd of 2,000 per day.
