The gals are in San Francisco this week at the Swinging Skirts Classic on the Lake Merced course and there are 3 Canadians in the field with round one now complete.
Brooke Henderson shot -1 71 T26, Alena Sharp +1 73 T59 and Maude Aimee LeBlanc +6 78 T123.
They are well behind the leader, Korean, So Yeon Ryu who went out first off the 10th tee and shot a tournament record -9 63 to take the first-round lead. You may remember she won the Canadian Pacific Open in 2014.
Japan’s Haru Nomura is next second after a -7 65. China’s Xi Yu Lin and the Netherlands’ Christel Boeljon shot -5 67, and two-time defending champion Lydia Ko topped the group at -4 68.
