Lydia Ko wins Kia Classic, Brooke Henderson shoots 66, T10.

LPGA Tour Kia Classic final leaderboard http://www.lpga.com/tournaments/kia-classic-tournament/results

Lydia Ko called a penalty on herself for a double hit on the 10th green and still won her first LPGA event of 2016 by 4 shots over Inbee Park.

She won the Kia Classic on Sunday with a -5 67 -19, and like Jason Day heads into the first major championship of the season as the #1 player in the world.

Her ball on the 10th green had rolled into a pitch mark left by another player, so she wasn't allowed relief. The putt popped straight up in the air and hit the shaft of her club for the double hit.

At 18 years of age, Lydia Ko has 11 professional wins world wide, and that my friends is more than a certain guy called Tiger Woods..

Brooke Henderson had her best round of the week with an eagle and six birdies -6 66 for another T10 at -9.

Next week the field assembles at nearby Rancho Mirage for the ANA Inspiration (Dinah Shore) for the first major of the season.
