Live scoring Qatar Masters http://www.europeantour.com/europeantour/season=2015/tournamentid=2015004/leaderboard/index.html?showLeaderboard=Y

Round 1 is in the books in Qatar, the second leg of the Desert Swing and Oliver Fisher came in with a -7 65 to overtake Spain’s Rafael Cabrera-Bello who began the Qatar Masters with a -6 66 to originally set the clubhouse target at Doha Golf Club.

Cabrara-Bello, third here in 2011 and 2014, produced six birdies in his flawless round and at -6 he is second by one from compatriot Alejandro CaƱizares, England’s Mark Foster heads a group of 11 at -5 which includes two time winner Paul Lawrie from Aberdeen and Ernie Els who is looking for his 5th title in the middle east.

It's another strong field with defending champion Sergio Garcia at -3 69. Rory McIlroy has opted out although he is staying and practicing in nearby Dubai instead, preparing for next week's event there.

Tomorrow on the PGA Tour the Humana Challenge (Bob Hope) gets underway in the desert at La Quinta, and on Friday the Champions Tour kicks off with the invitational Mitsubishi in Hawaii.
