Jimenez wins in Hawaii.. Haas at La Quinta

PGA Tour Humana Challenge http://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/humana-challenge-in-partnership-with-the-clinton-foundation/leaderboard.html

Bill Haas shot a -5 67, -22 breaking out of a six way tie with a 20 foot birdie putt on the 16th for a one shot win, for his sixth PGA Tour title and first since 2013. He also won  his first tour victory here in 2010.

It was his first start since November after he broke his left wrist last April when he fell down some stairs

His father, Jay who was playing in Hawaii, won in 1998. Matt Kuchar, Charley Hoffman, Brendan Steele, Steve Wheatcroft and Sung Joon Park tied for second. Hoffman and Steele shot 64, and Park had a 65, and Kuchar and Wheatcroft shot 67

Canadians ..Graham DeLaet  T30th at 14-under. Adam Hadwin  T48th at 13-under, while as I mentioned yesterday Weir, Sloane, Hearn and Taylor MC.

Champions Tour Mitsubishi Electric Championship http://www.pgatour.com/champions/tournaments/mitsubishi-electric-championship-at-hualalai/leaderboard.html
After shooting an 8-under 64, in windy conditions Saturday for a share of the lead with Rocco Mediate, golf's most interesting man Miguel Jimenez backed it up with -6 66, -17 199 to catch and overtake Mark O' Meara for a one shot victory for his sponsor Mitsubuishi Electric.

It is his second Champions Tour title in his third start on Tour and he did it in style making birdies on 6 of his last 9 holes including a big 20 footer on the 17th to pass O'Meara. In case you didn't know since he plays almost all his golf across the Atlantic, he has 21 European Tour wins and is the oldest winner there at age 50 years, 133 days, when he won the 2014 Spanish Open. He has also removed his name for consideration as the 2016 Ryder Cup captain, preferring to try and play his way onto the team.
Rocco Mediate, who shared the 36-hole lead with Jimenez, could only manage a final-round -2 70 to finish fourth. Fred Couples was third.
The scenery on this Hualalai GC on the Big Island, with all the black lava right down into the pounding waves of the Pacific Ocean was just stunning.

Mediate won twice on the 50-and over tour in 2013
