Rain has washed out round 1 at the Sony Hawaiian Open.. Here's the PGA tour.com report
Done for the day at Waialae
There will be no golf played at Waialae Country Club on Thursday because the heavy rains have rendered the course unplayable. The first round will now be played on Friday and the second on Saturday with a 36-hole Sunday finish.
Saturday’s cut will be to the number nearest 60 rather than the low 70s and ties.

My memory
Guys in the mid 80's I was engaged to a Canadian Airlines flight attendant, one of the great loves of my life so I won't name her and we went to Hawaii at least once a year for 4 years
Waialae is on Oahu, Hawaii's main island, the home of Honolulu and Waikiki beach. The course is tucked in behind Diamondback volcano which is a popular route for we runners every morning, but is at or below sea level so with all this rain is has little or no tolerance as a water table, and as a result it is now saturated and with rain in the forecast all weekend we have problems..
