Puma getting a bang for their buck in Bahrain !!

Ok what do Lexi Thompson, Anna Nordqvist, Rickie Fowler and Johan Edfors have in common ??

Yes they are all golfers and they are all sponsored by the company with the wildest hats on tour right now, Puma who are really getting a bang for their sponsorship bucks these days with Fowler starting 2011 as the reigning PGA tour Rookie of the Year, and now Johan Edfors who hasn't won since 2006 setting a new course record to lead this Volvo Golf Champions by 2 shots, all with the trademark big blue puma leaping across his over sized white cap

Apart from John Daly's clothing sponsored by Loudmouth Pants ( note they haven't caught on with any other pro golfers ) Puma also a newcomer to golf have hit on an idea for their hats that are fun, bright and unmistakable.. Here is their promo slogan..

I have been watching some of this on the Golf Channel this morning, and when you watch Edfors ( newly married at 35) play I wonder why he hasn't won in over 100 events since 2006. His game seems sound and complete. "I think I am a lot better player than five years ago, but the results have not really shown that," he said. He had 9 birdies, just one bogey to beat the Montgomerie Course record of 65.

Following Edfors are Peter Hanson, his Ryder Cup team-mate Francesco Molinari, England's Graeme Storm and Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal.


Sergio Garcia is just one further back after a bogey-free start to his season and Paul Casey the highest-ranked player in the field at ninth in the world - also shot 67.

Paddy Harrington is T36 -2 70 and Ian Poulter T67 E 72.  Monty who is also at E,72 had a triple bogey 7 on the very course he designed
