Hadwin vying to win the American Express.. Full scoreboard, Saturday TEE TIMES

PGA Tour : American Express Leaderboard  Tee Times

When you shoot 59 on any course, its safe to say it's a favourite. Adam Hadwin did that here at the American Express in 2017, in fact he had 4 consecutive top 10's: 2016 T6, 2017 T2, 2018 T3, 2019 T2 and was in the final pairing three consecutive years.

Adam Hadwin high fives fans as he walks to the 17th green of the 2019 Desert Classic, Sunday, January 20, 2019.

So no surprise he's back on the leaderboard again this week after a pair of 65's -14 just 3 shots off the lead held by Sam Burns who shot a career low -11 61 to get it to -17 after 36 holes.

Will he finally get the win he so richly deserves this year ! He's been T32, T25, T18 in his last 3 years here.

He has made 13 birdies, an eagle and just the one bogey in 36 holes, playing the Pete Dye Stadium and the Nicklaus Tournament courses, today he plays La Quinta.

10th LQ  1152  Adam Hadwin, Taylor Pendrith

Other Canadians

Nick Taylor T51 68 67 -9

Ben Silverman T51 68 67 -9

Taylor Pendrith T139 71 72 -1

Roger Sloan T144  76 68 E

The Saturday shootout will continue with 9 players within 3 shots. Like I say it's "go low or go home" at this tournament which Canada's Mike Weir won in his prime in 2003.

Weather

Saturday and Sunday flat calm, no rain, cool by desert standards 13*c - 20*c or low to mid 70's F.
