PGA Tour : AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am...Tee Times
As stunning a spot there is on the PGA Tour, some players give the Pebble Beach Pro-am a miss due to the slow play with the Am's and the chance of bad weather at this time of year on the Monterey Peninsula.
WEATHER : Last year severe weather forced a Monday finish and early predictions are pointing this year in a similar direction at least for Thursday, Friday.
This year Thursday will be cloudy, cool with 75% chance of rain, wind at 11mph, so the bad weather has arrived, but with it's new elevated status, this signature event requires the top 50 in the Fed Ex Cup points standings to play, with the $20,000,000 purse on offer.
Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, Rory etal are all playing as are five Canadians, all I might add because of their status in the top 50.
Corey Conners 1.09 1st (SH) Nick Taylor 12.21 10th (PB), Adam Svensson 12.57 10th (PB), Adam Hadwin 12.09 1st (PB) and Mac Hughes 12.45 10th (SH)
It's a strong international field including the cinderella story of Mattieu Pavon, along with Nicolai Hojgaard, Stephan Jaeger, Kevin Yu, Thomas Detry, Alex Noren (winner in Dubai last week), and American, Nick Dunlap in his first pro event.
They will play Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill.
