Brooke Henderson saved her best round of the week until Sunday and her -6 66 shot her right up the scoreboard into T4th place at -14, however it was a little too late to catch the -8 64 posted by Olympic champion Inbee Park who at -19 edged Thai star Ariya Jutanugarn who closed with 66 -18.
Sung Hyun Park (68) -17 was third. Michelle Wie had the lead at the start of play but fell out of contention with a 4 putt for a double bogey at the 5th and a 72 dropped her down to a T4 along with Henderson and last year’s winner, Jang Ha Na (69).
The remarkable Park had taken six months off after Rio2016 to recover from a thumb injury and was playing only her second event. On Saturday she was still striking the ball beautifully but her putts weren't dropping.
Sunday was a completely different story, she made 9 birdies holing long putts from all over the greens and had this to say afterwards “my putting was amazing today, obviously,I couldn’t make any putts yesterday and obviously I made up for it today."
Lydia Ko finished with 72 -12 T9 while Alena Sharp finished 55th 75 74 74 71 +6.
The LPGA is off next week before the women travel to Phoenix for the Bank of Hope Founders Cup
