The rain that delayed the Honda LPGA Open in Thailand was also soaking the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington courses in Joburg South Africa, eventually reducing it to 54 holes and in the sprint to the finish this morning it was veteran Springbok Darren Fichardt with rounds of 66 66 68 200 who edged the pack by a shot to win his 5th European Tour title.
The South African fired a birdie at the 18th in his third and final round to post a -4 68 and finish one shot clear of nearest challengers Stuart Manley of Wales and Paul Waring from England.
