Play resumes after a thunderstorm at the Nedbank Challenge

European Tour Nedbank Golf Challenge leaderboard http://www.europeantour.com/europeantour/season=2016/tournamentid=2015094/leaderboard/index.html?showLeaderboard=Y#wxrboLyVvWvFPlzo.97

In form South African Jaco Van Zyl started his second round in great style, birdie, eagle and had a one shot lead over Robert Streb and two over Henrik Stenson before play was halted at 230pm local time when lightning moved into the area with Stenson and Van Zyl both having played their second shots at the 10th, a par 5.

A subsequent thunderstorm has cleared the air and play has resumed on what is now a lovely sunny afternoon, and the soaking has made the greens very receptive. Danny Willett the defending champion has tweaked his back and was in obvious pain unable to turn properly, subsequently going out in 40 shots.

Round 2 will have to be  finished tomorrow morning

More to follow
