Scrap the Fed Ex Cup playoffs !!

Henrik Stenson is a deserving winner of the Tour Championship and the Fed Ex Cup, nobody has had a better 3 months..

His amazing summer began with a tie for third in the Scottish Open. Stenson followed with a runner-up at the Open Championship and the World Golf Championships-Bridgeston Invitational, third place at the PGA Championship and a win at the Deutsche Bank Championship.

While Jordan Speith got to within a shot of Stenson's lead on Sunday, the big Swede pulled away and in the end won comfortably.

But there was no real drama, and of course the real possibility existed under the current play off system that someone else could have won the Tour Championship while say, Tiger could have finished 20th and still claimed the Fed Ex Cup, and remember a few years back Vijay Singh just had to show up at the Tour Championship, which he did, to win the Fed Ex.... how anti-climatic.

Look the only playoffs in golf should be played at the end of 72 holes to decide a winner of a tournament..

Scrap the Fed Ex Cup and the points system that nobody understands. Stop giving these guys $10m to win it because in this day and age it is offensive to fans, and the players don't need it.

Keep the Barclay's, the BMW, the Deistic Bank, they are fine sponsors, just add up all the money won during the year to establish the top 30 or 50 money winners, let them play the Tour Championship.. and the winner is the winner...

Nobody understands the current system, and worse, it isn't providing any drama, in fact it can and has been doing the opposite...!!
