Sunday shoot out at the Sentry....full scoreboard

PGA Tour : The Sentry Leaderboard

As usual the first thing I looked at this morning was the weather both here in Toronto (-5, snow covered ) and then Maui and it's Plantation course at the Kapalua Resort !

There is just a slight zephyr at a maximum 5mph, bags of sunshine, temperature mid to high 20's Celsius, which ensures a Sunday shootout.

The winner last year, Jon Rahm shot 62 on Sunday to win -27 265, the year before Cam Smith set the all time PGA Tour record -34. Both are now playing in obscurity for guaranteed money on the LIV series, until we see what deal is cut with the Saudi's which will become the new norm in men's pro golf. That is now scheduled for public consumption by the time Augusta rolls around.

Speaking of money, may I remind you, and this is kind of sickening to me of Scottish descent where we are reknown for being frugal (cheap..), these guys are on a working holiday with their families, all expenses paid at one of the world's great resorts, and are playing for $20,000,000 around $3.5 first past the post !! with only 59 in the field to share the loot.

Who needs the Saudi's !!

The leader of this year's pack is veteran American Chris Kirk 67 65 66 -21 who has 15 players within 4 shots, and while the scoring is low, there isn't a 62 on the board all week, that's about to change today.

There are no Canucks in contention, here are their scores with the two Adam's leading the contingent.

Adam Hadwin T27 70 65 70 -13

A male golfer looks off into the distance while watching his shot as he holds his club up with both hands.

Adam Svensson T27 70 68 68 -13

Corey Conners T35 69 70 68 -12

Mac Hughes T39  68 70 70 -11

Nick Taylor T45  69 69 73 -8

Have a great Sunday where ever you are, if you are an NFL fan, the greatest mystery of all time since Murder on the Orient Express was resolved by Hercule Poirot is about to unfold to determine who the final contestants for this year's Super Bowl will be !!
