Solid start for Cockerill at Ras Al Khaimah Championship...full scoreboard.. TEE TIMES

DP World Tour : Ras Al Khaimah Championship Leaderboard  Tee Times

In ideal conditions it was a day of low scoring at the Al Hamra GC with the 59 watch in place on at least two occasions.

In the end England's Callum Shinkwin who made 8 birdies in a row is atop the leaderboard -10 62 for a two shot lead, and you need to look all the way down to T102 to find anyone over par.

Aaron Cockerill

Canada's Aaron Cockerill began as well as he played last week, with some fine driving and wedge play leading to 4 birdies in his first 6 holes out -4 32. Steady pars and birdies at 14 and 18 along with his only bogey when he drove into the fairway bunker on his way to a 5, back in -1 35.

He begins Friday's play T10 -5 off the 10th tee at 8.20am GMT
