PGA Tour : The Sentry .. Canadian results...Friday leaderboard

PGA Tour : The Sentry Leaderboard

If you've never been to Hawaii it's either a straight 12 hour flight Toronto - Honolulu or 5 hours Toronto to Vancouver, another 2 hours out, half way across the blue Pacific to Honolulu which is the main airport in the bustling large capital city, on the island of Oahu.

You then catch small plane flight to the peaceful, low key by comparison island of Maui, then a bus ride to the stunning, opulent Kapalua Resort and the Plantation course where the Sentry kicks off this 2024 season with a 59 man field made up of last season's winners and others from the top 50 of the FedEx cup standings.

This tradition working holiday for players and their families spending 3 weeks in the Hawaiian islands has been jacked up to Signature Event status worth $20,000,000 and everyone gets paid with no cut.

Unless the trade winds blow, the players destroy par here, Rahm won last year -27 265 and Aussie Cam Smith set the PGA Tour record at a ridiculous -34.

Weather : The winds are light 16mph SW today and Saturday, only 8mph SE on Sunday so expect more low scoring.

There are 5 Canadians eligible.

Mac Hughes T19 -5 68

Nick Taylor T25 -4 69

Corey Conners T25 -4 69

Adam Hadwin T37 -3 70

Adam Svensson T37 -3 70

The lead is an American Sahith Theegala -9 64 with five world class players next at -8 65 Victor Hovland, Colin Morikawa last year's runner up , Camillo Villegas, Sungjae Im and Jason Day.

Only 2 players were over par.
