Players from all over the world have also flown in for this week's Farmers Insurance, in fact after round 1 on Wednesday, 8 of the top 9 players are from Taiwan, Japan (2), Argentina, Belgium, Ireland, England and Denmark.
The best score of the day was from the NC, Kevin Yu born in Taiwan, won a scholarship to University of Arizona, now owgr 144 who shot -8 64
He's a shot ahead of Patrick Cantlay -7 65, Japanese players Ryo Hisatsune -7 65, Hideki Matsuyama -6 66, Ireland's Shane Lowry -6 66, Belgian Thomas Detry -6 66, England's Aaron Rai -6 66 , Argentina's Alejandro Tosti -6 66 all on the North Course (NC)
Danish star and a twin brother Nicolai Hojgaard on the tougher South Course (SC) still jet lagged from his 25 hour flight from Dubai posted -5 67.
