Saturday update:...Where the Canadians are playing this weekend.

**** Round 2 was delayed for 2 1/2 hours due to rain and play was finally suspended due to darkness with half the field due to return early this Saturday morning to finish

Welcome Brad Fritsch (-1 70) and MacKenzie Hughes T10 (-6 69 69) to the wrap around season on the PGA Tour. They join David Hearn (+2 72 74), Graham DeLaet (+2 71 75), Nick Taylor (+5 73 76) and Adam Hadwin (-2 73, 69) in Napa California for the Safeway Open.

Tiger Woods dealt the event a terrible blow after he pulled out at the last minute declaring his game not yet ready for tournament play. Media from all over the world who would not normally cover the event arrived in San Francisco, only to find out the news.

Scott Piercy shot a course record 62 -10 in his first round, and with round 2 being called due to darkness he will return at 7.45am this morning with all the others in the field who will have to finish before round 3 begins. Piercy is -4 through 12 holes, still in the lead.

Brooke Henderson T60, 70 73 78 +5 and Alena Sharp T32, 73 71 71 E are in South Korea this week as the LPGA continues it's six week long Asian Swing

UCLA student, Alison Lee leads after 3 rounds 65 70 68 -13. Brittany Lang is next at -10. Lee balances a playing schedule with her university classes. She is after her first pro win, and is currently ranked 44th.

Rod Spittle +1 73 and Stephen Ames +3 75 are in Cary NC this week for the SAS Championship.

The leader is Doug Garwood on -7 65. The top 72 players on the money list after the tournament, and one player in the top 10 in the event but outside the top 72 for the season, will get spots in the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs opener – the PowerShares QQQ Championship at Sherwood in Thousand Oaks, California, on Oct. 28-30

Currently, Ames is 38th and Spittle 48th.

Six of the ten Canadians playing in this Symetra Tour Championship in Longwood Florida have made the cut. After 2 rounds the best of the bunch is Sara Maude Juneau T17, 71 69 -4. The others are Liz Tong -3, Augusta James -1, Jessica Wallace +1, Anne Catherine Tanguay +3, Brittany Marchand +4
