Maude Aimee LeBlanc leads Canadians at US Womens Open

Several of the Canadian women at the US Women's Open out in San Martin, California, improved their position on the leaderboard, none more so than Maude-Aimée Leblanc who begins play today T10 after her -3 69. Alena Sharp played in the more difficult afternoon conditions and shot E72 to sit T15.

Brooke Henderson improved to T48 after her -1 71 +3 total. Sue Kim (71)is also at +3 Taylor Kim and amateur Naomi Ko both missed the cut.

The leader at -8 is a 22 year old South Korean, Sung Hyun Park who shot a fine -6 66. Amy Yang shot a 71 T2 at -6 with first-round leader Mirim Lee. Lydia Ko shot -66 T4 with Japan's Haru Nomura
