Calm conditions for round 3 at Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open

European Tour Scottish Open leaderboard http://www.europeantour.com/europeantour/season=2016/tournamentid=2016052/leaderboard/index.html

With the Open Championship next week at Royal Troon, the Golf Channel has sent all of their American broadcast team to cover this Scottish Open at Castle Stuart, near Inverness, so as a Scot it is interesting to hear their amazement at how beautiful the Scottish highlands are. Where have ya been fella's !!

The wind that has dominated the weather for the first two rounds has died down, the Moray Firth is flat calm and scoring is low as a result.

Henrik Stenson was -6 66 in the morning wave, as was Nicolas Colsaerts. The overnight leader Alex Noren from Sweden has just begun his 3rd round and he is tied for the lead at -9 along with a young Englishman Eddie Pepperell. Other leaders now on course at -8 include Branden Grace, Danny Lee and Matteo Manassero, but all that will change as play goes on..
