Woods ends 'worst week' as a pro at +18

Tiger for the first time I can remember did not show up with his traditional Sunday red shirt

It would kind of been like a girl who is getting married for the 8th time, showing up all in white !!

He shot 77 today and in a brief interview (2 mins) said he is now heading to Whistling Straights to prepare for the PGA on Thursday.

His interview was painful to watch, he gave brief, mainly terse answers, understandable after the week he has put in here.

He says there is nothing wrong physically, and also says he wouldn't want to play in the Ryder Cup playing like this, as he or anyone else shooting 18 over par would only hurt the team

He also says he is not surprised with the way he played, when asked why he said that it has been a tough year

The Golf Channel went on the air at noon with early coverage with Faldo etal at the course. For some reason, with the tourney not on CBS and Global til 1pm, they cut away to Kelly Tilghman and Frank Nobilo in their Orlando studios for Golf Central where they spent the entire 30 minutes again showing the Tiger lowlights, replaying the interview, even asking Anthony Kim, Tiger's playing partner, what he thought about Tiger's game ! Not a word, nor any insight about the actual tournament and what should be a hell of a race to the last putt.

Proof again that for American media, Tiger is their story if he shoots 64 or 84. Do they never learn ??

Think of it folks, after listening to TGC, why would you even want to watch this afternoon ?? Tiger's gone, that's the story, to hell with Ernie, or Rory or heck even Phil. Check back in Monday and we'll have our camera's watching him practice at Whistling Straights, hopefully we can get Steve Sands to get a few more mono syllabic answers from him that we can analyze to death !!!  Ok, now I feel better ..

Let's hope CBS does a better job this afternoon.
