Tiger Woods has just completed his 3rd round with bogey's at 17 and 18 for a +5, 75, +11 total, he is 78th in a field of 80.
He was out in 39 with bogey's at 2,4,7 and a double at 8. His lone birdie at the par 3 5th. He birdied 11, but as I mentioned had bogey's at 17 and 18 for 36.
He has been at #1 in the world for over 5 years, since the week before the 2005 US Open, and the numbers crunchers tell us Mickelson can finish in the top 4 and still get the number 1 spot.
Woods is also at number 9 in Ryder Cup standings and as you know the top 8 are in, the rest are captain's picks. More on that later, but would you pick him the way he is playing ??
Rounds of the morning flight ?? Japanese star Katsumasa Miyamoto is at -5 today through 14 holes (-2 total), and Heathcliff Slocum is at -4 through 15 today, -1 total. Miyamoto is ranked 165 in the world.
The leaders,Goosen and Leonard are off at 1.55, with Mickelson and Hanson in the group ahead
