That sums Sunday for Shane Lowry on PGA National, 3 shots clear of the field, until a wide right 3 iron into the water at 16 resulting in a double bogey, followed by another double on 17 gifted the trophy to a delighted Nico Echavarria who to his credit had played well all weekend (63 72 66 66 -17) worth $1,728,000.

Playing on his home course the affable big Irishman has now had 4 top 5's here in the last 5 years. (T2  70 67 63 69 -15)

If I were his coach I would remind him that his fellow club member Jack Nicklaus finished 2nd 58 times in his career

" I have a tee time at Bay Hill net Thursday, so I have no choice but to move on "

Canadians

AJ Ewart  T13  71 64 68 72 -9

Sudarshan Yellamaraju T17 68 72 68 68 -8

Mac Hughes T23  75 65 69 68 -7

Ben Silverman T40  73 67 69 71 -4

This week another $20,000,000 limited field signature event Arnold Palmer Invitational while the rank and file have an alternative event in Puerto Rico.
