PGA Tour : Black Desert Championship Tee Times
His duties as captain now over after the recent Presidents Cup matches in Montreal, Mike Weir returns to the PGA Tour this week along with Nick Taylor, Adam Svensson and Roger Sloan for the inaugural Black Desert Championship in a small town called Ivins, Utah.
The reason behind the invitation is Mike lives in Utah with his 2 daughters in a Salt Lake City suburb called Sandy.
He studied Recreation Management at Brigham Young University on a golf scholarship in the late 80's, Jim Nelford and Richard Zokol preceded him there.
Weirsy reached as high as 3rd owgr in his pomp when he won the Masters in 2003, possessing what Johnny Miller described as the "best wedge game in the world from 100 yards in"
He joined the Champions Tour when he turned 50 in May of 2020.
