PGA Tour (unofficial event) : Hero World Challenge
This was an unofficial event, a 20 man exhibition match to raise money for the Tiger Woods Foundation in Albany, Bahamas.
Sourcing for his Foundation from this event, the Genesis Open at Riviera, AT&T National (until 2018) and the Tiger Jam in Las Vegas have raised over $150,000,000 since 1996.
This week's amount has not been published as of Monday morning.
As I noted last week, all the Tiger fans had a chance to see the legend in action well past his prime. He was "curious" to see how he'd feel after 72 holes, and reiterated his goal for 2024 was a tournament a month.
His scores reflect where his game is at 48 in relation to today's stars: 75 70 71 72 E, 3rd last in the field and 20 shots behind the winner.
Scottie Scheffler 69 66 65 68 -20 won $1,000,000 after this week's working holiday. He remains world #1 and hadn't played since his American team got hammered in Rome at the Ryder Cup.
Last place Will Zalatoris, coming off surgery, was paid $120,000 for shooting +11.
Austrian Sepp Straka was 2nd 72 67 68 64 -17, and Justin Thomas 70 67 68 67 -16 was 3rd.
