Despite the possibility of a wet start to this week's 48th CP Women's Open at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, (40% Thursday, 80% Friday) anticipation for golf fans in this country are sky high, with the return of Brooke Henderson from her travels overseas front and center..

She starts on the 10th tee in the late wave at 1.04pm with Lydia Ko and Jennifer Kupcho. She's won twice this year and holds the Canadian pro record with 12 career wins. She is currently ranked 5th in the world, and 2nd in the CME Global standings. 

There are 18 Canadians in the field including Lori Kane playing in her 30th and final Canadian championship. Maude-Aimee Leblanc, and Alena Sharp are also in the field.

82 of the top 100 are here including defending champion Jin Young Ko. The Hunt and Golf club also hosted the championship in 2008, 2017 and it was cancelled due to COVID for the last 2 years.
