The young American Brooks Koepka has been named the European Tour's Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year" for 2014.
The award comes having won the Turkish Airlines Open two weeks ago and claimed 8th place in the Race to Dubai. He follows good friend and fellow US player Peter Uihelin who won it in 2013 as a recipient of the prestigious award.
Koepka won 3 times on the Challenge Tour in 2013 before graduating and along with his win in Turkey over Ian Poulter, he had 4 top 10 finishes. He also T4 at the US Open and T15 at the PGA Championship.
Young Englishman Tyrell Hatton finished 2nd to Koepka.
