Golf at a Glance this week..

There is a huge week of golf ahead including the BMW at Crooked Stick in Indianapolis

Schedule: Thursday-Sunday.
Course: Crooked Stick Golf Club (7,497 yards, par 72).
Purse: $8 million. Winner's share: $1.44 million.

Last year: Justin Rose won at Cog Hill in Lemont, Ill., chipping in for birdie on No. 17 en route to a two-shot victory over John Senden.
Last week: Rory McIlroy won the Deutsche Bank Championship on Monday in Norton, Mass., for his third PGA Tour victory of the year. The PGA Championship winner rallied to beat Louis Oosthuizen by a stroke.
 
Notes: The top 70 in the FedEx Cup standings qualified for the third of the four playoff events. The field will be cut to 30 for the Tour Championship on Sept. 20-23 at East Lake in Atlanta. … McIlroy leads the points race for the $10 million prize with 4,799, followed by Barclays winner Nick Watney (3,468) and regular-season leader Tiger Woods (3,417). … Woods was third in the Deutsche Bank after opening the playoffs with a 38th-place tie in The Barclays. …John Daly won the 1991 PGA Championship at Crooked Stick. …  Tiger is paired with Rory again this week, and our Canadians are paired together..
