PGA Tour : ZOZO Championship Leaderboard
"Kawa" means river in Japanese, Collin Morikawa (the 2021 Open Championship golfer of the year) 64 leads the ZOZO Championship by a shot at -6 and he and other PGA Tour regulars of Asian descent are enjoying reveling in their heritage this week just outside Tokyo.
Morikawa's father is Japanese his mother from Hong Kong. Others like Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, and Kurt Kitayama all had family from Japan or Taiwan before immigrating to America.
Mikumu Horikawa a Japanese based pro is second along with 4 others at -5 65, Denmark star Nicolai Hojgaard amongst them.
