Not what they wanted, but still fine weeks for Leblanc and Pendrith.. final scoreboards

LPGA/LET Tours; Trust Golf Women's Scottish Open final leaderboard here

Maude Aimee Leblanc had 17 birdies and just 3 bogey's over 54 holes and entered Sunday's final round just a shot off the lead at Scotland's National Golf Championship for Women sponsored by Trust Golf and held at the spectacular Dundonald Links in Ayr.

With the rain cleared out and just a moderate breeze on Sunday a little known player from Japan, Ayaka Furue who had played most of her golf at home, finished off a great week with a closing -10 62 to post a score of -21 too good for the rest of the field, she won by 3 shots over French woman Celine Boutier.

Leblanc couldn't match that with a bogey 5 at her 2nd hole  followed by 2 late birdies out in 35, then any hopes of making a charge stalled with a double at 12 and a bogey at 13, she ended up with E72 to finish her week T8, 67 69 66 72 -14, a fine result, if not the one she wanted.

PGA Tour: Rocket Mortgage Classic leaderboard here.

Over 54 holes Tony Finau and Taylor Pendrith were the class of the field, entering Sunday tied for the lead at -21 and paired in the final group.

As it turned out, Finau made some PGA Tour history winning for the second week in a row with a closing -5 67 -26 total. As Pendrith said later " Tony played great again this week, so hats off to him"

Taylor Pendrith (Claus Anderson credit)

Taylor on the other hand just lost the touch on the greens he'd displayed all week when he was a birdie machine,

Bogey's at 2, 12 and 16 offset by 3 birdies left him  with E 72 and his PGA Tour best T2 at -21.

" It was tough, couldn't get anything going. In the middle of the round I hit some really nice iron shots, but couldn't get them to drop. I did leave a lot of putts short, just lost my feel for distance. All in all it was a good week, my best finish ever.

Adam Svensson finished T24 69 68 67 72 -12, Adam Hadwin T37 70 69 72 67 -10 and Roger Sloan T49 70 69 70 71 -8.
