Alena Sharp trails Ko by 2 shots at NW Arkansas Championship

LPGA NW Arkansas Championship leaderboard http://www.lpga.com/tournaments/walmartnwarkansaschampionshippresentedbypg/leaderboard

With brilliant rounds of 65 65 -12 Alena Sharp is right in contention again at the NW Arkansas Championship in Rogers, Arkansas as she trails the world's #1 Lydia Ko who has been just a shot or two better with 66 62 -14 and American star Morgan Pressel 65 63 -14.

Maude Aimee LeBlanc is T66 71 68 -3 while Brook Henderson missed a rare cut with 69 73 E. Samantha Richdale and Anne Catherine Tanguay also missed the cut.

Ko tied the course record buoyed by 5 birdies and an eagle on her back nine as she looks for her 3rd win of the year.

At just over 6300 yards, scores have been very low on this Pinnacle Country Club and I expect more of the same later today and will be interested to see if Alena can keep the pressure on Ko and Pressel for her first LPGA Tour win.

She was T22 at the KPMG PGA Championship then T13 last week at the Meijer LPGA Classic.
