Sunday singles at Gleneagles..Europe wins it 16 1/2 - 11 1/2

10-6 Europe going into today's play.. Europe needs just 4 points from 12 matches... USA needs 8 1/2.. Sounds easy right !!!

Now set your mind back to Medinah on this day in 2012... 10-6 USA was the score only difference was Europe needed 8 points... and you know what happened..

So depending on your point of view either the USA is all set up for redemption, for a big upset, or this will be a walk in the Glen for Europe..

Weather: overcast cool, no rain forecast, slight breeze...

Here are the matches with live scoring starting at 6.36am est

Sunday singles....Live scoring click http://www.rydercup.com/europe/scoring?autorefresh=1

10 Jamie Donaldson wins 4&3   vs Keegan Bradley
11.Lee Westwood   vs  Jimmy Walker wins 3&2
12. Victor Dubuisson  vs Zach Johnson match halved

In the end the foursomes were the difference 7 points to Europe 1 to USA. That I did not see coming when I picked them to win. Europe is a better team once right again, fully deserving of the win..from the captain Paul McGinley and his 5 assistants right through Rory at 31 down to French sensation Victor Dubuisson... What a great 3 days, the best in golf, perhaps in all of sport...
