Thomas Bjorn wins in Qatar....Thomas Gainey leads in Phoenix.

This is a tale of 2 Tom's, both unlikely winners.

First, Thomas Bjorn, no he wasn't tennis player, rather the guy who's career nosedived at Royal St Georges in 2003 when he had the Open Championship in his hand before leaving 2 shots in the green side bunker at the par 3 16th, took a double bogey 5, then made bogey at 17 to lose by a shot to the unknown Ben Curtis.

Today,Thomas Björn held his nerve to land an 11th European Tour title at the Commercialbank Qatar Masters

Denmark's most famous golfer saw his overnight one shot lead wiped out by Markus Brier at the first hole, and then when the Austrian fell away 2009 winner Alvaro Quiros charged to within one on the back nine.

But the former Ryder Cup star, an assistant to Colin Montgomerie at The Celtic Manor Resort last year, stayed calm to record a closing round of 69 to win by 4 shots at -14
Björn parred his first 14 holes, before a wonderful six iron approach to the 15th led to his first birdie of the day, and he made further gains at the 16th and 18th.

"I said yesterday it was going to be one of those days where it's a question of hanging in, and that's all I did earlier on," said Björn, who turns 40 later this month.

Martin Kaymer finished 28th, Steve Stricker 45th , Ian Poulter and John Daly were 63rd and as I mentioned yesterday Lee Westwood missed the cut, as all the big boys faltered this week..

Now to Thomas, ok Tommy "2 gloves" Gainey who hasn't made a cut in 3 outings this year and who wouldn't even be here if he didn't win a TV show called "the Big Break". He leads this frost stricken Phoenix Open going into Sunday's round 3 by a shot from Mark Wilson and by 4 from the marquee player in the event Phil Mickelson

Gainey played nine holes Saturday, finishing off a 65 after shooting a career-best 63 on Friday to stand at -14

"My ball-striking is really good," Gainey said. "I hit a couple bad shots today, but they wasn't bad enough to get in any trouble. I always think that's a good thing, because as we all know, golf is a game of misses, so my misses today were pretty good."

Mark Wilson was 13 under, completing a 64 on Saturday and Bill Haas is at -12.. Stephen Ames 70,68 is T37 at -5

Play has been delayed 30 minutes on Sunday due to frost. Round 3 will now resume at 11 a.m. ET.

SUNDAY'S PLAN: From The TOUR Report:
The third round got started late Saturday afternoon with the lead group on each nine on its sixth hole of the day while the last group to tee off was on its first. Play is scheduled to resume at 11.00 a.m. ET (9.00am a.m. local) at TPC Scottsdale, where temperatures are expected to reach 70.

There are five groups who have yet to begin their third rounds on the front nine and four still to tee off on the back. The leaders -- Tommy Gainey (14 under), Mark Wilson (13 under) and Bill Haas (12 under) -- will tee off at 11:36 a.m. ET (9:36 a.m. local).

Players will remain in the same groups for the fourth round which will begin as soon as possible after the third concludes.

So the leaders will likely complete round 3 at around 4.30pm, and may be sent out again to play 2 or 3 holes before dark then come back weather permitting to complete or play all of their 4th rounds on Monday
