PGA Tour: Farmers Insurance Open Tee Times Leaderboard
Justin Rose at 45 is playing some of the best golf of his storied career, and he plays really well at Torrey Pines, where he held the 36 hole record at -15 in 2019
Born in South Africa, raised in the little town of Hook in England, he has played golf all over the world, seen every kind of weather, none any better than San Diego thus far this week, blue skies, blue Pacific, brilliant sunshine, and very little wind means low scoring for the pros.
He turned pro at 17, promptly missed his first 23 cuts, his resume includes the 2013 US Open and the Olympic Gold Medal 2016 in Rio. He has been the backbone of the wildly successful European Ryder Cup team for 20 years.
So far he shot -10 62 NC, then went out to post -7 65 on the tougher championship SC for a new record -17 127, that is 4 shots ahead of the closest rival Irishman Seamus Power 66 NC -13 total.
Canadians : The cut fell at -3 which eliminated Taylor Pendrith 70 72 -2 and Adam Svensson 71 75 +2
AJ Ewart T45 71 69 -4
Mac Hughes T58 71 70 -3
Sudarshan Yellamaraju T58 74 67 -3
Much ballyhoo this week about Brooks Keopka returning to PGA Tour. Turns out to be much ado about nothing 73 68 -3, 14 shots behind Justin Rose.
