European Tour: Oosthuizen moves to #4 after win in Durban

For the third successive season, Louis Oosthuizen won the first European Tour event of the new year after overhauling Scotland’s Scott Jamieson with a superb closing round of 66 to capture the Volvo Golf Champions title.

Having won the Africa Open in January 2011 and successfully defended his title 12 months later, Oosthuizen ran up a hat-trick of victories in this week’s elite 33-man event, held at Durban Country Club.

Oosthuizen’s joint best-of-the-day round of 66 for a 16 under par aggregate winning total secured the former Open Champion the €350,000 first prize by a single stroke, after Jamieson’s eagle chip at the last stopped inches away from the cup
