Veteran Aussie Rod Pampling managed his game for a leading -3 68 on this tough Robert Trent Jones parkland SentryWorld golf course in Steven's Point, Wisconsin.
It's the highest score on any Champions Tour event this year, and the scoring average of 77.35 the highest since the Kitchen Aid back in 2015 on Pete Dye's French Lick course.
Retief Goosen, Miguel Jimenez and a university coach Mike Small are all T2 -1 70.
