US Open week at Torrey Pines.. Connors, Hadwin, Hughes, Pendrith for Canada / TEE TIMES

US Open at Torrey Pines, course view here

TEE TIMES

With last weekend in the rear view mirror, Brooke Henderson's W/D for a non COVID related issue, Taylor and Sloan well down the field at the Palmetto in S.C (here), and Weirsy closing with 65 for another top 10 (T7) at the American Family Insurance in Wisconsin (here.), the top Canadian story was on the Korn Ferry Tour where Stuart McDonald had his 4th top 10 in five starts (T5) at the BMW Pro Am (here) to cement his place in the top 75 who make up the final playoffs, he is now at 61, all eyes turn to the US Open out in San Diego at Torrey Pines.

Bryson DeChambeau is the defending champion and everyone except Tiger who won on this course a staggering 8 times, is there.

Canadians: Corey Connors (36) is the top ranked Canadian. He has cooled off a little from his hot streak in March/April. Mac Hughes (67) has been out of form recently, Adam Hadwin (100) had to Monday qualify as did Taylor Pendrith (194) who played well in last years US Open T23.

Phil Mickelson celebrates after winning the PGA Championship.

Currently DJ (1), Justin Thomas (2) and Jon Rahm (3) are your top 3 in the world, Rory has dropped to  (11), Jordan Spieth (24) and ageless Phil Mickelson has made it back to (30) with his PGA Championship win, and this is a home venue for him and his family.
