Tuesday morning shag bag...Great week with Canadians in the headlines..Final scoreboards..

After a 5 day outdoor work shift in this stinking humidity flooding southern Ontario, it's nice to be back at my desk with the A/C on, reflecting on the terrific past few days in Canadian pro golf.

Champions Tour: Principal Charity Classic final leaderboard here.

With leader  "Lumpy" Tim Herron leaking late oil in Des Moines at the Principal Charity Classic it was a great all Canadian charge from our 2 top senior men, Stephen Ames who came from 7 shots behind with -5 67, and Mike Weir 70 66 69 to finish 1/2 for the first time I can remember, certainly on this tour.

Stephen who last won in 2017, now has 2 Champions Tour titles, and Weirsy who won his 1st in early May, now has 2 top 5's in his last 2 events.

Women's US Open final leaderboard here

Brooke Henderson 68 78 69 70 -1 has declared herself "very pleased with my T7 at the Women's US Open, another top 10", in fact her 5th of the year. Yuko Saso -4 280 beat Nasa Hatoka in a 3 hole playoff.

PGA Tour: Memorial final leaderboard  here

Nick Taylor T47 +3,  Corey Connors T53 +6 were well out of contention at Jack's place, Patrick Cantlay won it in a playoff.

US Open qualifiers

Taylor Pendrith has Monday qualified for his 2nd consecutive US Open with 70 66 -8 at the Woodland CC, Rockford, Md.  Scores here.

Adam Hadwin missed the cut at the Memorial, then went to a few miles away to Brookside G&CC to post -2 70, followed by a -5 67 on the neighboring Lakes G&CC to T9 to qualify

Ben Silverman 69,70 -5 T18 for the final 16th place spot (-6) to miss out by a stroke.

The US Open this year is at Torrey Pines outside San Diego beginning June 17th. 2021
