Six Canadians in the field for inaugural Workday Charity Open . Thursday tee times

Workday Charity Open Thursday tee times https://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/workday-charity-open/tee-times.html

The PGA Tour has moved their bubble into Muirfield Village, the home of Jack Nicklaus in Dublin Ohio, for the first of two straight weeks. The first is the Workday Charity Open, and the second is Jack's Memorial Tournament by Nationwide. Some of the big boys have returned after a week off in Detroit, and will be camped out albeit in some very expensive rental homes for the fortnight.

This tournament is a one off, replacing the John Deere Classic which is postponed until 2021.

There are six Canadians in the field, Nick Taylor who won at Pebble Beach in February returns after a month at home, Roger Sloan, David Hearn, Adam Hadwin off his 4th place finish, Mac Hughes and Corey Connors return to play.

Brooks Koepka (5), Justin Thomas (4), Justin Rose, Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, Jon Rahm (2), Jordan Spieth among some of the most popular golfers to return.

Webb Simpson, Bryson DeChambeau after his win last week takes his first week off in a month, Adam Scott who is not playing at all, Rory and DJ from the world top 10 are not here until next week.

It's an interesting COVID driven schedule, rarely do the pros play the same course two week in a row. Only in Hawaii at the beginning of the year would be one example, but they all bring their families for a two week all paid for working vacation and play different courses.

Weather: There will be no spectators at all for the fortnight, so it will be a strangely quite stroll through the parkland course. High humidity, temperatures in low 30's with T'Storms in the forecast for the weekend.

  1. I sure hope Jack (and Barbara) is/are wearing a mask... God help us if he/they get sick!
