Earlier this morning Lee Westwood retained his Indonesian Masters title with a 2 shot victory in hot muggy Jakarta.
After thunder and lightning delayed the finish of the 3rd round, he came out this morning to post -7 65 to take an 8 shot lead, before going back out to start the final round.
He struggled in with a closing +2 74 at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club for a -16 total of 272. Former #1 ranked Asian Tour player Thaworn Wiratchant of Thailand fired a -5 67 to finish second on -14 274
"Today was hard. It is never easy playing in these conditions and I had to play 32 holes," Westwood said of the grueling final day. "I was really feeling it on the back nine. When you are in contention and under pressure, it seems to zap your energy faster.Hopefully I can go on and win other tournaments. It is tough when you are the favorite because if you don't win then it will be disappointing,"
Canadian Ron Harvey finished T38 76 69 69 74 E
