England's Marcus Armitage 64 68 -10 will begin Saturday with a two shot lead of this Open de France with changeable weather in store, including possible heavy rain and increasing wind moving through Paris.
At -8 T2 are Aussie Min Woo Lee 67 68 and Dane Jeff Winther 71 63.
With the cut falling at +1, Canadians, Corey Conners 71 71 E and Aaron Cockerill 69 72 -1 are in for the weekend, and were out early. Conners posted -1 70 T52 -1, while Cockerill made bogey on 3 of his last 5 holes for +2 73, T67 at +1.
Conners who began the week as the highest ranked player, owgr #26, rarely plays on the DP World Tour, while Cockerill is struggling so far this year to keep his playing rights for 2026, currently ranked #118 in the Race to Dubai where the top 116 make it.
Frenchman Frederic LaCroix (owgr #224) has thrilled the local crowd with the round of the morning so far, six birdies on his front nine 30, he added two more coming in, before making two late bogeys at 17,18 for the low round of the day so far -6 65 T3 (70 72 65)
