DP World Tour : Ras Al Khaimah Leaderboard
With moving day Saturday already in the books in the UAE at this 5th version of the Ras Al Khaimah championship, Spaniard Alejandro Del Rey 68 66 66 -16 and 36 hole leader Marcus Armitage 63 69 70-14 have separated themselves from the field heading into Sunday.
Del Rey, who is searching for his maiden DP World Tour title, lived dangerously at times during round three but managed to keep the bogeys off his card as he moved to 16 under par ahead of Sunday's fourth round.
The 26-year-old had started the day two shots behind halfway leader Armitage but was in front at the turn after carding three front-nine birdies.
And despite some errant tee-shots, Del Rey made further gains at the 14th, 17th and 18th to put more space between himself and closest challenger Marcus Armitage, who sits alone in second on -14 under after posting a -2 70.
Closest to them at -9 is the trio David Ravetto from France 69 68 70, Springbok Shaun Norris 70 68 69 and Aussie Jason Scrivener 72 70 65.
