PGA Tour : The Sentry Leaderboard
I mentioned the lack of the heavy trade winds that blow over Hawaii for this opening week on the PGA Tour, The Sentry and as expected after 36 holes, 10 players are within 3 shots, only 4 didn't break par and the average score was 68.1. Par is 73 one of the longest courses on tour.
The leader by a shot is Japanese star Hideki Matsuyama with 65 65 -16, over Asian American Colin Morikawa a Plantation course specialist with 66 65 -15.
Canada's Corey Conners had a big finish with eagle, birdie, birdie, birdie 66, T3 -14.
As for the other Canucks Adam Hadwin T13 67 69 -10 as is big hitter Taylor Pendrith who recovered from an opening 71 with a splendid 65 -10.
Nick Taylor hasn't kept pace with 73 73 T56 E at the bottom of this 60 man select field, the first $20,000,000 signature event of the 2025 season.
More of the same weather on Maui is expected for the weekend keep in mind the course record set in 2022 by LIV golfer Aussie Cameron Smith is -34.
