I.K Kim leads by a touchdown at the Ricoh Women's British Open

I.K Kim is another of the endless supply of diminutive South Korean women dominating the LPGA Tour, this time the 27 year old has a whopping 6 shot lead over the best field women can muster.

I'm rooting for her today because you may remember she was the one who missed that 1foot putt, thus losing the ANA Inspiration ( the old Dinah Shore) in 2012, the first major of the year on the LPGA Tour.

She has posted scores 65 68 in the worst of the weather, then -6 66 for a -17 199 total and that 6 shot lead over Georgia Hall (70) and Moriya Jutanugarn (67), who's younger sister Ariya Jutanugarn is the defending champion.

The Golf Channel set up their morning coverage around Lexi Thompson, who was just two shots behind but slumped to +2 74 and out of contention.

As I mentioned yesterday Brooke Henderson needed something special to get into the mix and she battled hard but her -1 71 leaves her out of it at -5.

If Kim doesn't have her A game today look for her challenge to come from Inbee Park who shot 64 -10 total yesterday and Stacy Lewis who shot 65 to sit at -9. Another young American, Ally MacDonald 70 is also at -10.

With round 4 underway the weather is overcast with a very light breeze so expect to see more scoring from the field in the mid 60's, however with a 6 shot lead Kim has a cushion that should be enough.
