Rod Spittle was on the driving range on Friday morning at 9am as the first alternative of the Chubb Classic in Naples, at 9.45 he was in the tournament when John Harris WD.
Come Sunday evening after rounds of 68 68 69 -11 he finished T3, behind winner Freddie Couples 68 65 67 -16. It was Couples first win since the Shaw Classic in Calgary in 2014. In 3 starts at this event he has two firsts and a second.
Spittle won $96,000, and automatically gains entry into next week's tournament in Tuscon.
