The PGA tour has moved from the desert of Arizona to the spectacular west coast near San Diego to Torrey Pines North and South. Tiger who has won here 8 times when he was in his prime is off at 1220 ET and Phil Mickelson who lives in San Diego is off at 1330 ET...
If you needed another reminder of the changing of the PGA Tour guard, for once neither is favoured to win, with Tiger slipping to 50-1 with the bookies.
Three Canadians are in the field, Mike Weir (1240 ET), Roger Sloan (100 ET) and Adam Hadwin (150ET). The PGA tour twitter site is reporting Graham DeLaet has withdrawn with the flu and will be replaced by Greg Chalmers.
