Thomas Bjorn looked to be on the downside of a solid career for the last 2 years, until he won in Qatar earlier this season.
Since then he has regained the form that made him a top 10 player years ago.
He was in contention all the way at the Open Championship where he finished 4th, he won last week in the 5 man playoff at Gleneagles and today fired 9 birdies and an eagle on his way to a -9 62, -20 to win the Omega European Masters by 4 shots over Martin Kaymer 64,-16 with Rory McIlroy 68 -15, Jaco Van Zyl 64 -15 and Jamie Donaldson 70 -15 a shot further back.
The course record is 60 held by Jamie Spence 1992 and Baldovino Dassu 1971.
