Morikawa split with long-time bagman JJ Jakovac earlier this year after his recent winless streak, and briefly linked up with Max Homa's former caddie Joe Greiner before having his friend from the Korn Ferry Tour, KK Limbhasut on the bag at the recent Rocket Classic.

His last win on any tour was the ZoZo Championship in 2023, after winning the DP World Tour Championship in 2021.

Foster now 59 - one of the best known caddies on the DP World Tour having worked for Seve Ballesteros and Lee Westwood among others in his 5 decades on Tour - split from 6 years with Matt Fitzpatrick, with whom he won his long-awaited first Major Championship at the 2022 U.S. Open, in March.

He has also caddied in 15 Ryder Cups since 1987.

The duo are now set to team up this week at Renaissance Club in North Berwick and at next week's Open Championship at Royal Portrush, where Morikawa will look to claim a second Claret Jug after his win at Royal St Georges in 2021.
