PGA Tour : Shriners Children's Open Tee Times
How about Canada's Taylor Pendrith, back after a fortnight off, playing TPC Summerlin in this version of the Shriners Children's Open, in an opening -10 61.
He only missed one fairway and green in regulation and that was on his last hole par 5 9th where he could have scored the elusive 59 with an eagle.
"Pendy" to his pals is one of the tours big hitters, on Friday they were all hitting the fairways, then his wedge play was stellar, and he's always been a good putter.
He and Adam Scott electrified the crowds in Montreal in the Presidents Cup going 2-1-0 in match play, leading that epic Friday 5-0 comeback for the International team.
"I feel rested and ready to play, I didn't really expect -10 I thought I would be a little more rusty than that. I'm obviously thrilled, just gotta get back into the rhythm of things over the next days"
His fellow countryman Ben Silverman added to the Canadian story, in a group T2 at -7 65.
More to follow.......
