The Woodlands is what Americans call a "special-purpose district" basically a wealthy urban area separate from the urban area of Houston, with their own elected officials and a small population of 115,000.

Brooke Henderson had 3 birdies and 2 bogey's including a 6 at the par5 18th T18 -1 71 while rookie Savannah Grewal who has found out how good and deep the LPGA Tour is struggled T105 +4 76.
